#CESChat: Community-Engaged Scholarship (CES) in Canada

Posted:June 10, 2013

On Monday, June 10th from 1 to 2 pm ET, the CES Partnership and University Affairs co-hosted a Twitter chat on community-engaged scholarship (CES) in Canada.

We timed the #CESchat to coincide with publication of the article, “Nothing about us, without us: How the new credo for community-engaged research is making a difference both in communities and at universities” in the June/July issue of University Affairs magazine.

This #CESChat was co-facilitated by @CESpartnership and @UA_magazine. See chat transcript below or via Storify.

The challenge of tenure and promotion procedures should not be permitted to unduly limit the growth of the movement for community-university engagement in Canada. A dialogue for action on this issue should be launched and sustained until this obstacle is permanently removed.*
